Registration Renewal Step-by-Step Guide

Annual Renewal of Registration

All members must complete the online renewal and all associated obligations (Self Assessment Form (SAF) and Jurisprudence Module (if not completed already)). You can complete Learning Plan (Continuing Competency Activities) under ‘My Learning’, located on the left side of the dashboard at any time throughout the year. Members who are completing their third year of their learning Plan cycle, are required to submit their learning plan by December 31 of the current year.

How to renew your registration online:

Step 1:   Prepare the required documentation and have the following items ready:

    • A breakdown of your practice hours from October 1 of the previous year to September 30 of the current year.
        • Direct Client Service Hours are reported separately from your TOTAL practice hours.
        • If you maintain more than one employer, you will report your hours for each place of employment separately.

    • Current Professional Liability Insurance information.
        • CASLPM accepts personal or employer insurance, however, if you are engaged in private practice, you MUST have personal liability insurance.
        • You will be required to enter your professional liability insurance details including the name of the insurance company, policy number, insurance coverage amount, and the expiry date.
    • MasterCard or Visa for payment.

Step 2:   Visit the CASLPM online member portal directly at the member portal

Step 3:   Login using your email address and password.

    • If you do not know your password, please use the “forgot your password” option.

Note: You must provide an email address that you can access all the time and from anywhere. CASLPM recommends that you do not use your work email because you may not always have access.

Step 4:   Complete the Self Assessment Form (SAF) located on the right side of the dashboard under ‘My Self Assessments’.

Step 5: Complete My Renewal for 2024”

    • Select the option to Renew on the front page of the dashboard and it will take you to the renewal form.
    • Form 1 – Update your personal details, current employer information, and Professional Liability Insurance details). Be sure to answer any required field which is indicated by a red asterisk *.
    • Click “Next”.
    • Form 2 – Renewal, ensure SAF is complete, upload the Jurisprudence Module certificate (if the renewal form prompts), answer good standing declarations, and submit the renewal form.

Step 6: Submit payment by MasterCard or Visa.

    • If you signed up for the Installment Payment Plan (IPP) for 2024, the final balance will be $0.00.

 

Note: The renewal form can be saved and returned to if you cannot complete the renewal in one sitting.

You will have access to your Tax Receipt, Certificate of Registration, and Certificate of Practice directly through your online profile.

Please do not delay in completing your renewal as any issues, errors, or questions may prevent you from making your payment and would result in late fees. Late fees will automatically be applied to any renewals received after October 31 at 11:59 p.m.
